Day 7 Game 1 Semifinals Tallahassee, FL (5) vs. Albany, MN (2)

Tallahassee jumped on Albany early scoring 2 runs in the 1st inning on an Albany error and a few base hits. They added another run in the 2nd inning making it a 3-0 ballgame. Tallahassee looked to extend their lead again in the 3rd inning but Albany pitcher Carter Thelen made a diving catch to start a double play. Albany finally put some runs on the board in the 3rd inning cashing in on 3 errors from Tallahassee. Will Brown as he has all tournament long baffled hitters and put zeros on that scoreboard. Tallahassee added a couple insurance runs in the 7th inning giving them a 5-2 lead. Albany got a couple runners on but wasn’t able to push across any runs. Tallahassee will head to the finals and possibly looking for revenge for their only loss of the tournament against Mifflin County.

Day 7 Game 2 Semifinals K-W-R-L, WA (4) vs. Mifflin County, PA (16)

KWRL got the game going in the 2nd inning with 3 straight singles from Devyn Turner, Mike Goode and Ethan Hefflin. All 3 runners scored giving KWRL the early lead and Mifflin County went to their bullpen early to stop the bleeding. Derek Kroop of KWRL picks up right where he left off on Sunday and threw two hitless innings to start the game bringing him to 9 consecutive no-hit innings. The 3rd inning is where things started to go Mifflin County’s way, exploding for 10 runs. They added 6 more in the 4th inning and ended up winning the game 16-4 after 5 innings. Mifflin County will look to beat Tallahassee for the second time in the tournament.
