The free agent market is moving at an all-time slow pace. Of the top 50 free agents only 11 of them have signed deals and of those 11 only 5 have signed multiyear deals. The Padres have acquired LHP Blake Snell from the Rays. The Rays will receive C Francisco Mejia, RHP prospect Luis Patino (Padres #3 prospect, MLB #23 prospect), RHP prospect Cole Wilcox (Padres #7 prospect) and C prospect Blake Hunt (Padres #14 prospect).
The Padres have signed Korean SS/3B Ha-Seong Kim to a 4 year/$25 million contract.

The Royals signed RHP Ervin Santana to a minor league deal with a Spring Training invite. Santana is a 2-time All-Star with the Angels (2008) and Twins (2017).
The Phillies, Dodgers and Rays completed a 3-team trade. The Phillies will receive LHP Jose Alvarado from the Rays. The Dodgers will receive LHP Garrett Cleavinger from the Phillies. The Rays will receive INF prospect Dillion Paulson and a PTBNL from the Dodgers.
The Twins have signed RHP Hansel Robles to a 1 year/$2 million contract plus incentives.
