Major League Baseball announced that it has teamed with Prep Baseball Report to form the MLB Draft League, a new summer league that will allow the nation’s top draft-eligible players to compete in a 68-game season beginning in May of 2021.
The A’s announced that Mark Kotsay will move from quality control coach to 3B coach. Kotsay played with seven teams from 1997-13.
The Rangers hired Chris Young as their new General Manager. Jon Daniels will stay on as the teams President of Baseball Operations. Young played with five teams from 2004-17 including the Rangers in 04-05. He was an All-Star with the Padres in 2007 and won a World Series with the Royals in 2015.
The Yankees INF Gio Urshela underwent surgery to remove a bone chip from his right elbow. His recovery time will be about 3 months.

The Royals have signed OF Michael A. Taylor to a 1 year/$1.75 million contract plus incentives.
