The Marlins have hired Kim Ng as the team’s new General Manager. She was the Yankees assistant GM from 1998-01, the Dodgers VP & assistant GM from 2002-11 and has been the Vice President of Baseball Ops for MLB from 2011-20.
The Pirates have named John Baker Director of Coaching and Player Development. Baker spent 7 years in the Majors from 2008-14 with the Marlins, Padres and Cubs.
Former Giants outfielder Mac Williamson is suing the team over a 2018 incident that saw Williamson suffer a in game concussion caused by tripping over a bullpen mound in right field foul territory.
