Either the Rays win their first title in franchise history or the Dodgers win their first title since 1988.

This World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Tampa Bay Rays is a modern day example of David vs. Goliath. The big budget all the resources in the world Dodgers are coming in high after an improbable come back against the Braves and the Rays try to save baseball in Tampa. I personally think that unless you are a Dodgers fan it should be quite impossible to cheer against the Rays in this one. I could easily see them making a movie about the scrappy Rays led by Blake Snell and their attempt to save baseball in Tampa when nobody believed they could. It would be a big movie.

That being said, they don’t come into this game an underdog. At least not in my book. I picked the Rays to win the World Series at the beginning of the year and again at the beginning of the playoffs. This is my team (not really I’m a Braves fan). But this is the team I’ve believed in all year long. The Dodgers will have the advantage in their lineup as the Dodgers have one of the deepest and best lineups in baseball. The Rays have the advantage in pitching though and in baseball pitching often times beats good hitting, and the Rays have a much much much better manager. Maybe I’m mad at the Dodgers for beating my Braves but I’m predicting the Rays take this one in 6 games and win their first World Series in franchise history.
