I don’t know that there has ever been a college softball player that I have witness improve and mature into her position as much as Valeti. The first time I watched her play she seemed unsure and hesitant. However, by the end of the season I was blown away by change in her play.
She went from being a member of the Lower Columbia Softball team, to being a leader and a standout player in one season. Her defensive ability at 2nd base and her clear talent in the batters box has made her one of the best softball players I’ve seen come through the area.
