The Oakland A’s announced new long term deals for Executive VP of Baseball Ops Billy Beane, General Manager David Forst and Manager Bob Melvin. Melvin’s deal will take him through the 2021 season at about $3.5 million per season.
The Mets hired player agent Brodie Van Wagenen as its new front office head. Van Wagenen was the agent for a few very prominent Mets, including Jacob deGrom, Yoenis Cespedes, Noah Syndergaard and Todd Frazier.

The Rangers have announced the hiring of Chris Woodard as their manager for the 2019 season. They signed him to a 3 year deal with a club option for 2022. Woodard had a 12 year MLB career and has been the third base coach for the Dodgers for the last 3 seasons.

The Cardinals have resigned RHP Adam Wainwright to a 1 year/$2 million contract plus many incentives.
The Giants picked up their club option on LHP Madison Bumgarner. He will make $12 million next year.
The Nationals picked up their club option on LHP Sean Doolittle. He will make $6 million next year.
The Indians and OF Leonys Martin agreed to a 1 year/$3 million deal to avoid arbitration.
The A’s picked up their club option on RHP Fernando Rodney. He will make $4.25 million next year.
The Dodgers have resigned INF David Freese to a 1 year/$4.5 million contract.
The Yankees have resigned OF Brett Gardner to a 1 year/$7.5 million contract.
The Yankees have claimed INF Hanser Alberto off of waivers from the Rangers.
The Dodgers have resigned LHP Clayton Kershaw to a 3 year/$93 million contract with bonuses and no opt outs.
The Cubs picked up their club option on LHP Cole Hamels. He will make $20 million next year.

C J.T. Realmuto is not going to sign an extension with Miami and wants to be traded.
