It’s no secret that I prefer going to Minor League and College Wood Bat League games far more than I do Major League baseball games. Major League baseball has the best players in the world but with a family of four, and only myself that understands the difference in skill level from the Majors to the minors and college ball, I need more that just talent on the field for going to games with my family.
I need games that are affordable, offer activities for my entire family, and have a fun atmosphere for all to enjoy.
Lucky for me I have a number of great baseball teams in the Northwest that offer exactly what I am looking for, but one team stands above them all in my opinion, the Eugene Emeralds.
I could honestly write multiple articles about the great experiences I’ve had at Emeralds games. They have a great kids area, a quality stadium to play in, a fan base that is supportive and loud at every game, and AMAZING promotional nights.
In fact their promotional nights are so good that the Emeralds were awarded the Larry MacPhail award as Minor League Baseball’s top promotional team.
From theme nights like Star Wars, Harry Potter and Animal house, to Bobblehead giveaways, autograph nights and much more, the Emeralds make sure that every game is a fun experience.
Congratulations to the Emeralds and I am excited to see what promotions they have next season.
Check back this winter for my Baseball Road Trips series as I break down the best places to watch games, to stay, to eat and more.
