The Brewers announced they hired former MLB players, Rickie Weeks and Pedro Alvarez to their player development staff. Weeks was an All-Star with the Brewers in 2011. Alvarez was an All-Star with the Pirates in 2013 and won a Silver Slugger that same year.
The Rangers have hired former catcher Nick Hundley as Special Assistant to the GM. He had a 12-year career with 5 clubs from 2008-19 and then joined MLB in its Baseball Operations Dept. in 2020. He was teammates with Rangers GM Chris Young in San Diego from 2008-10.
The Dodgers and manager Dave Roberts are planning extension talks.
