People look at a lot of different things and claim baseball is dying because of them; travel ball teams, bat flips, rule changes, but the truth is those things are killing the game. What is killing the game is something you may not think about and that is the lack of umpires. The number of umpires has dropped dramatically and this will have huge effects on the game moving forward.
