The Red Sox are bringing back Alex Cora as manager and he has agreed to a 2-year deal with a pair of club options. Cora and the organization parted ways in January after commissioner Rob Manfred implicated him as an architect of the Astros’ 2017 sign-stealing scheme.

The sale of 95% of the Mets from Fred and Jeff Wilpon to Steve Cohen was officially finalized. Cohen then announced executive vice president and GM Brodie Van Wagenen is leaving the organization. Sandy Alderson will lead the baseball and business operations.
