When I decided to do a year in review article I knew right off the bat that 2019 was the biggest year that 9 Inning Know It All has ever had. I covered more games, took more photos, and traveled more miles than any previous year.

In 2019 I attended/covered over 170 games. A little bit of a surprise is that those 170+ games were all college level or below. I did not make it to one MLB game (2nd year in a row) and not one MiLB (1st time in like 10 years). I had planned on going to a couple MiLB games but as other things came up those games got taken off of my calendar.

Now the games I did make it to were played all across the northwest and one long weekend in Arizona. I ended up taking over 85,000 photos at those games. A lot of those photos were taken with a camera that I really enjoyed using, but sadly was hit by a ball on my trip to Arizona. I was able to replace it with a little newer model that actually turns out can handle night photography a lot better. (Actions shots under the lights are now more doable),

The site overall also had one of it’s biggest years.

Key Stats of 2019

107 articles written (not counting this one)

10+ different writers this year (not sure exact count as I just skimmed things)

28 interviews posted

Over 105,000 views to the site

170+ games attended

85,000+ photos taken

4 newspapers used photos from 9 Inning Know It All

1 painting created using one of my photos as the inspiration

One thing that I have come to realize as I look back at the year is that I want to continually get better (not always bigger even though that can come from better content). For me getting better means covering new teams and players, improving the photographs that I take, and making 9 Inning Know It All a steady resource for baseball in the northwest and across the nation.

Bringing you baseball from the Little Leagues to the Major Leagues. If it's baseball it's good enough for us.
