Before the NWAC Championship Tourney began I talked with McKabe Cottrell, game 1 starting pitcher for the Spokane Sasquatch. It didn’t take long to understand why the big lefty was given the ball in the first game. Watching him strikeout 8 of the first 9 batters, and finishing with 15 strikeouts over 7 and 2/3 innings, made it very clear that this freshman was a talented competitor.
