The Orioles announced they will hire Brandon Hyde as their next manager. He has spent most of his two-decade-plus career in coaching and player development, all in two extensive tenures with the Marlins and Cubs. He’s held a variety of positions on the Cubs big league staff since joining the organization in 2013. He was the first-base coach for the Cubs 2016 World Series team.
