Recently the Colorado Rockies added a new member to their broadcast team and it happens to be a female broadcaster. Honestly for most sports fans, both male and female, this is something we hear and think that’s cool and move on because we understand that gender doesn’t define your love for baseball or your skills and talent to broadcast a game. However, there are ‘fans’, and I hate to call them that, who think that only men can broadcast baseball. I admit this pisses me off and as a father of two amazing daughters who I hope will love the game of baseball like I do, I felt a need to address this on 9 Inning Baseball Talk.
