A very slow Thursday at the Winter Meetings as everyone was packing up and heading home. Lots of the top free agents are still available (Encarnacion, Turner, Jansen, Bautista, Trumbo, Napoli) so except a lot to happen before Christmas. I’m sure a few surprise trades as well.
The 2017 Winter Meetings will be held in Orlando, FL and 2018 it will be in Las Vegas, NV.
The Padres will end up with the top three picks in the Rule 5 Draft. RHP Miguel Diaz through trade with Twins, C Luis Torrens through trade with Reds and drafted SS Allen Cordoba.
TRANSACTIONS
The Cubs have signed RHP Koji Uehara to a 1 year/$6 million contract.
The Braves have acquired RHP prospect Luke Jackson (Rangers #15 prospect) from the Rangers. The Rangers will receive RHP Tyrell Jenkins and minor league LHP Brady Feigl.
The Cardinals have signed OF Dexter Fowler to a multi-year deal, terms of contract not yet known. UPDATE: Deal is for 5 years/$82.5 with a full no trade clause.

The Rockies are looking to acquire starting pitchers.
The Nationals are making a push for RHP Kenley Jansen.
