The 9 Inning Run Down

As the summer comes closer the 9 Inning crew has been brainstorming how we want to approach the next couple of months. We’ve talked about what teams we want to focus on, what topics we want to discuss on the radio show, and we have discussed other ways we can bring baseball to as many people as possible. So here is a rundown of some of the changes and new additions to the 9 Inning Empire.

Already Apart of the 9 Inning Empire

As you are well aware we have the 9 Inning Know It All blog. This is still going to be our focus because this is what started it all. Yes, there will be some things that happen that don’t go on the blog but will go up in other locations but most everything will be traced back to the blog.

The 9 Inning Facebook page has really begun to take off. The Facebook page is a great place to interact with fans from not only across the country but around the world. It is also the easiest way to keep up to date on everything that is going on in the 9 Inning Empire.

9 Inning Baseball Talk every Wednesday night at 8:30pm is turning out to be a great addition to the 9 Inning Empire. We have had some amazing guests on the show and had a lot of fun conversations.  The 9 Inning Crew is looking to grow this show but in order to do so we have to find a few sponsors.  When we do the show will be able to upgrade in a few areas.

New Additions to the 9 Inning Empire

The first new addition to the 9 Inning Empire is actually three new additions. Norm, Kelly and myself have each started a 5 to 15 minute show by ourselves. This isn’t going to replace the main 9 Inning Baseball Talk show, but instead give each of us the chance to rant on anything we want for a few minutes.

Stormin with Norman with air on Friday mornings at 10am.  Hittin It with Kelly airs on Sunday nights at 8:30pm. The Complete Game with the 9 Inning Know It All airs on Monday nights at 9:00pm. Show times may change from week to week depending on our schedules but you can always catch the shows as Podcasts on Gellar Sports Radio.

Another new addition is the use of Instagram (@9inningknowitall). I will be taking photos at baseball games all through the summer. Heck maybe I’ll even be lucky enough to take a few photos with some of the 9 Inning Know It All readers. We will be posting where we are going throughout the summer and we encourage everyone to join us at the ballpark.

I am also working on taking some videos this summer to post on the 9 Inning Know It All YouTube channel. I will post a link to this on the Facebook page once I get some videos shot and ready to go.

The Focus for this Summer

This summer the crew and I really want to highlight a few different teams in our areas.  The Eugene Emeralds, Corvallis Knights, Hillsboro Hops and Cowlitz Black Bears are going to be getting a lot of attention from us this summer. We aren’t going to ignore other teams in the northwest, we just want to demonstrate just how much baseball there is in the northwest.

So don’t be surprised if you see me sporting a new Eugene Emeralds Sasquatch hat, Norm showing some love to the brand new Hillsboro Hops team, Kelly representing his hometown Cowlitz Black Bears, and my daughter cheering on the Corvallis Knights.
