Looks like Yadi will spend his entire career with the Cardinals.

Yadier Molina plans to retire after finishing his current contract which ends following the 2020 season.

Two-time Cy Young winner Johan Santana will be inducted into the Minnesota Twins Hall of Fame on August 4th. Santana played with the Twins from 2000-07. He won both his Cy Young’s with them and was also a 3-time All-Star.

 

TRANSACTIONS

The Nationals have re-signed INF Howie Kendrick to a 2 year/$7 million contract plus incentives.

McCutchen will play RF for the Giants.

The Giants have acquired OF Andrew McCutchen and cash from the Pirates. The Pirates will receive 2 prospects: OF Bryan Reynolds (Giants #4 prospect) and RHP Kyle Crick (Giants #16 prospect).

The Pirates and LHP Felipe Rivero agreed to a 4 year/$22 million contract extension with two club options.

The Blue Jays have signed OF Curtis Granderson to a 1 year/$5 million contract.

The Yankees signed LHP Wade LeBlanc to a minor league deal with a Spring Training invite.

The Cubs have re-signed LHP Brian Duensing to a 2 year/$7 million contract.

The Tigers and SS Jose Iglesias agreed to a 1 year/$6.2 million deal to avoid arbitration.

The Brewers signed RHP Ernesto Frieri to a minor league deal with a Spring Training invite.

The Blue Jays have acquired OF Randal Grichuk from the Cardinals. The Cardinals will receive RHP Dominic Leone and prospect RHP Conner Greene (Blue Jays #11 prospect).
