The 2016 Winter Meetings will be held in Washington D.C. and in 2017 it will be in Orlando, FL.



The Astros have resigned LHP Tony Sipp to a 3 year/$18 million contract.

The Rockies have signed 1B Mark Reynolds to a 1 year/$2.6 million contract plus incentives.

The Cardinals have signed RHP Jonathan Broxton to a 2 year/$7.5 million contract with full no trade clause.

The Angels have acquired INF Yunel Escobar and $1.5 million from the Nationals. The Nationals will receive prospect RHP Trevor Gott and minor league RHP Michael Brady.

The Pirates have signed RHP Juan Nicasio to a 1 year/$3 million contract.

The Padres have acquired C Christian Bethancourt from the Braves. The Braves will receive RHP Casey Kelly and 17 year old C Ricardo Rodriguez.

The Nationals have signed 2 RHP’s to bolster their bullpen. Shawn Kelley 3 year/$15 million and Yusmeiro Petit 1 year/$2.5 million with vesting option for 2017.


Looks like Heyward ends up with Cubs, Cardinals or Nationals.


The Dodgers are moving on from LHP Aroldis Chapman.

The Cardinals and Cubs are among finalists for OF Jason Heyward.

The D-Backs still may make a run at RHP Mike Leake.

The Twins have reached out to the Nationals to inquire on RHP Drew Storen.

The Royals and Reds have discussed 3B Todd Frazier trade. If trade happens Frazier would likely play LF for Royals.

The Royals have checked in on RHP Yovani Gallardo.

Teams that are interested in SS Ian Desmond are considering him as an outfielder as well.

The D-Backs have talked to the Reds on multiple occasions about 2B Brandon Phillips.

The Nationals are the “mystery team” that is making a run at OF Jason Heyward.
