Where We Are Now
I can’t believe just how active the 9 Inning Empire is at this point. Along with Kelly, Norm and myself the empire has another regular writer in Trevor Winsor. Trevor played college baseball at George Fox University and Corban University. We also have guest posts from Michael Trevino, PA announcer for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, and Scott Sepich, official score keeper.
The blog receives over 2,000 views a day from people across the country and around the world.
The Empire has four online radio shows each week. Our main show is 9 Inning Baseball Talk which airs every Wednesday night and includes myself, Norm and Kelly. I have my own show called The Complete Game with the 9 Inning Know It All that airs on Monday nights normally. On Friday mornings Norm hosts Stormin with Norman. Kelly hosts Hittin It with Kelly, which normally airs on Sunday nights.
All of our shows can be listened live on Blog Talk Radio or as a podcast on Gellar Sports Radio.
Our Facebook page is always being updated with some of the more interesting happenings in baseball along with our blogs and whatever else we can find baseball related. Almost daily there are new people following the Facebook page.
We have expanded into the world of YouTube with the 9 Inning Know It All channel. Recent videos include the first professional at bat of San Diego Padres first round pick Hunter Renfroe.
We’ve even branched out to Instagram to post photos of the crew at games all summer long.
We couldn’t get anywhere close to where we are if it weren’t for the support we have gotten from individuals and organizations. The Eugene Emeralds, Salem-Keizer Volcanoes and Corvallis Knights have been amazing at allowing us access to take photos and write articles.
So many of you have supported us by sharing our articles, talking to people you know about the blog and a few of you have provided information for us that has been priceless in the growth of the 9 Inning Empire.
Where We Go From Here
As I look to the future of the 9 Inning Empire one word keeps coming to my mind; expand. Expand in the coverage of baseball in the northwest, nationally and internationally. Expand on the analysis of players and teams. Expand in what we offer our readers both in terms of material but also in merchandise.
We want every baseball fan who has access to the internet to know about the 9 Inning Know It All and have the opportunity to be a part of something that the entire crew has been so excited to be a part of.
These past couple of months are only the beginning of the changes that we are expecting. We never want to lose the fact that we are just a few guys who love the game of baseball and want to share that with other baseball fans.
Thank you so much to everyone who reads, listens or watches what we put out. Every view that we get still amazes us and helps to energize us as we continue along this road that has been so much fun.
