About

9 Inning Know It All was created in July of 2011 to promote baseball locally, nationally and internationally.  Helping to grow the game of baseball has been and will continue to be a primary focus of the blog, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube channel and all other avenues used by 9 Inning Know It All.

With 9 Inning Know It All I (Josh) have had the opportunity to cover a wide variety of levels and leagues. I’ve received press passes to Spring Training, Arizona Fall League, Babe Ruth World Series, NWAC Championships for both Baseball and Softball, and passes from multiple teams across minor league baseball, college baseball and summer wood bat leagues.

The 9 Inning Know It All media organization also includes NW Baseball Report.

  1. Rural Baseball Inc. to Host Tryouts for Summer in the Sun

Rural Baseball Incorporated will host tryouts for their upcoming summer season on March 24 at their home field in Winlock.
The summer travel program is seeking players age 15-19 to fill out two teams for league and tournament play that will begin on Memorial Day weekend and continue into July. Both teams will participate in area tournaments ranging from Centralia/Chehalis to Olympic Stadium in Hoquiam. The program will also place both teams in the Dave Orzel Memorial Tournament, which RBI hosts in Winlock on Father’s Day weekend.
There are no boundaries for the Rural Baseball program. Over the years their roster has included players from Winlock, Toledo, Napavine, Onalaska, Mossyrock, Chehalis, Centralia, Castle Rock, Kalama, Kelso, Longview, Tenino, Forks, and even Rainier, Oregon. They have numerous players on college rosters this season including a handful of Centralia College Trailblazers.
RBI has won three consecutive league titles and qualified a team for the Regional Tournament In two of the last three seasons. The Dirtbags missed out on a trip to the World Series by one game in 2016. This year’s Regional Tournament will be hosted in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. RBI last traveled to the Regional Tournament in Calgary in 2017.
A refundable tryout fee of $50 will be assessed at the tryout. Players who are selected to participate in the program will have their tryout fee applied toward their season player fee. Players who do not make the team will have their check returned or destroyed.
Players should come prepared to participate in baseball activities in all types of weather. That includes bringing cleats, shoes suitable for use on a basketball court, and warm gear such as sweatshirts or jackets.
Tryouts will begin promptly at 4 p.m. at the Winlock High School varsity baseball field. Checks should be made out to Rural Baseball Inc. Questions can be directed to Jody Nailon, head coach of both Rural Baseball and Winlock High School baseball, at jnailon@hotmail.com.
