If you’ve recently visited the 9 Inning Know It All site and noticed a few changes, you’re not imagining things. The site has embarked on a new chapter, and with that comes a different look and some modifications to our content archive.
The Transition: A Bit of History
Back in late 2016 and early 2017, a significant shift was made, moving our site to a new domain hosting service. This transition opened new doors, allowing expansion and creation of additional sites like Northwest Baseball Report and Great Plains Baseball Report. However, as the years passed, the costs of maintaining these sites skyrocketed. Combined with expenses for podcasting and photography, spending ended up being between $1,000 and $2,000 annually, a financial burden that was difficult to justify without substantial returns.
Returning to Our Roots
To ensure the sustainability of 9 Inning Know It All, the decision to return to wordpress.com for hosting was decided. This change will dramatically reduce costs to under $100 a year, making it a more viable option for the long term. While this shift means some blog posts from 2017 to 2025 are no longer on the site, many aren’t lost forever.
For NW and GP Baseball Report sites, I am working on transferring those sites as well. They currently don’t work but I hope to change that by next week. However, like with this site, many posts are lost, but not all.
Where to Find Past Content
Many of the “lost” posts on all the sites were actually podcasts and YouTube videos. The good news is that while these may not be currently available on the site, they are certainly not gone. You can still find all of our podcast episodes on Spotify under the 9 Inning Know It All channel. Additionally, our videos remain accessible on the 9 Inning Know It All YouTube channel.

The Future of 9 Inning Know It All
As for whether this change means a return to covering baseball and softball with the same intensity as before, the answer is uncertain. The primary goal was to preserve the sites that I invested so much time and effort into. We’ll see how things evolve over time.
A Call for Guest Writers
In this new phase, I’m excited to invite guest writers to contribute to our platform. If you’re passionate about baseball and softball, especially in the Northwest and Great Plains areas, and have a knack for storytelling, I’d love to hear from you. Whether it’s about colleges, high schools, or travel ball teams, your stories could be a fantastic addition to our community.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we navigate these changes. I look forward to sharing this journey with all of you and am hopeful for what lies ahead. Stay tuned for updates and exciting content as we step into this new era together!
