One of the best things about baseball is that, although size can be an asset and weapon for a player, it is not a requirement for being a talented ball player. Skill, determination and hard work out weigh a players size in determining how far they can go.
Hank LoForte, current Cowlitz Black Bear and future Cal State Fullerton player, is one of those players that his size is simply what it is, but his skill and dedication to being the best shines bright. Like the Jose Altuves and Dustin Pedroias of the world, LoForte doesn’t care about his size, it doesn’t determine just how good he can be on the field.
Listen to my recent interview with Hank as he talks a little baseball.
