AL WILD CARD
This game is going to be hard for me to watch because my Mariners were so close to being in this game. With that being said I am picking the Royals to beat the A’s. The A’s have not looked good the last half of the season and say what you want about Lester being a playoff pitcher, I just think the Royals put the final stamp on the A’s collapse.
NL WILD CARD
This game is tough game to pick for me. I like a few of the players on the Giants because they played for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes where I interned at for a few years, but I really don’t like the Giants. The Pirates have been in this situation before and I think that will make a difference. Pirates win this one.
ALDS 1 vs 4
With the Royals winning the Wild Card they get the gift of facing the Angels. Mike Trout has already had his coming out party but this will be his first one in the playoffs. I know one person can’t win a game all by himself, but Mike Trout sure comes close. I got the Angels winning in 4.
ALDS 2 vs 3
Orioles vs. Tigers. The Orioles are without Chris Davis but let’s be honest, outside of his power they aren’t missing much. The Tigers have a strong starting staff of pitchers and some scary bats in their lineup. In the end I think the Tigers win this series in 5.
NLDS 1 vs 4
Nationals take on the NL Wild Card winning Pirates and as much fun as the Pirates are to watch the Nationals are just really good. I think the Nationals come out firing on all cylinders and take this series in 4.
NLDS 2 vs 3
Dodgers vs Cardinals is the one series I am going to do whatever I can to watch every game of the series. I know the Cardinals have been a great playoff team in recent years but the Dodgers starting pitching is just going to be too much for the Cardinals. Dodgers in 3.
ALCS
Angels vs. Tigers. This is actually an easy pick for me. I don’t see anyone on the AL side of the playoffs that can beat the Angels. I don’t see this series lasting more than 5 games with the Angels winning.
NLCS
Dodgers vs. Nationals. Picking the Dodgers would seem to be foolish given their history but that won’t stop me from doing it again. This will be a great series and I’m actually thinking it will go 7 but the Dodgers will win it thanks to some crazy heroics.
WORLD SERIES
Dodgers vs. Angels. Seeing an all West Coast World Series would make me so happy. I know ESPN would probably just ignore the World Series if this happens but since I don’t watch ESPN ever I’m okay with that.
I picked the Dodgers to win in 7 in the NLCS and I’m going to copy that once again with the Dodgers winning in 7 to earn the trophy. They crazy thing is both stadiums may end up being half red and half blue for each game. I just hope their aren’t too many fights during the World Series in the stands.
