Fresh off their tie breaker victory against the Rangers. I’m taking the Tampa Bay Rays to march into Cleveland and beat the Indians with Alex Cobb on the mound. (Your welcome Trevor)
NL WILD CARD
It’s the 1st playoff game in Pittsburgh since 1992 and that crowd is going to be rocking. I don’t care who is pitching I’m taking the Pirates in this one. RAISE THE JOLLY ROGER!!!
ALDS 1 vs 4
This is where the Rays post-season run will end. The Red Sox get an extra day to rest up and the Rays will have used up 2 of their better starters. I got the Red Sox winning in 4.
ALDS 2 vs 3
In a rematch of one of last year’s ALDS. The A’s will try and get revenge on the Tigers but I don’t see it happening. Great series, lots of close games but I have the Tigers winning in 5.
NLDS 1 vs 4
As much as I would like to see the Pirates go farther I think this is where the BUC stops for them. The Cards have so much experience in the post-season and this team is one of the best ever in hitting with RISP (Runners in scoring postion). Cards in 4.
NLDS 2 vs 3
This series is close to my heart with the Dodgers being in it. I really wanted this to be the NLCS. I’m not going to be a homer and pick the Dodgers because they are my team but I’m picking the Dodgers because they are the better team. A 5 games series with Kershaw, Grienke and Ryu getting 4 of the 5 starts. I’m sorry but the Dodgers are going to put McCann and the Braves in there place. Dodgers in……I don’t care how many games it takes they are going to win.
ALCS
Red Sox vs Tigers. Could be a great series but I don’t think it will. The Tigers line up will be too much for the Red Sox pitching staff. The Tigers win in 5. Victor Martinez is the ALCS MVP.
NLCS
As a Dodgers fan the Cardinals are the team that scare me the most. I still think the Dodgers will win but it will be a really tough battle for each team. Dodgers win in 7 and they are all really close games with Greinke winning game 7. I’m going out on a limb and saying Juan Uribe will be the NLCS MVP.
WORLD SERIES
Dodgers vs Tigers. The 1st appearance for the Dodgers in the World Series since 1988, 25 years ago. I was 7, now 32 and if the Dodgers make it to the WS you better believe I will figure out a way to go to a game. I also live in Washington State which makes it a whole lot harder. Okay on to the prediction. The last time Kershaw pitched in the playoffs he didn’t fair to well, this time will be different. Dodgers win in 5 with Clayton Kershaw winning the World Series MVP.
