There is just something about sitting in the seats at a baseball game and enjoying some beautiful summer weather.  I honestly think that food tastes better, grass is softer and bad jokes are funnier when you are watching baseball.

The Week in Review

Why do I bring this up?  It is because this past week I got to make it to my first minor league games of the year as I went to the opening home stand for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes vs. the Hillsboro Hops. The Hops made their official debut on Friday night.

Before the season started I was able to catch up with catcher for the Volcanoes Ryan Honeycutt and do an interview. You can listen to the interview here as a part of the brand new radio show series Talking Ball with the 9 Inning Know It All.

The Week Up Coming

Although I don’t plan on going to any games for a couple of days there is still a ton of baseball going on and a lot that is happening in the 9 Inning Empire.

Upcoming Games

The Volcanoes return to Salem for a five game series against the Canadians on Thursday and I know some of the 9 Inning Crew will make it to at least a couple of those games. The 9 Inning Crew is looking at calendars and schedules to see where else we can make it and that will be announced on the Facebook page or through twitter.
