Well this past week has been a little slow for the 9 Inning Empire because I was on vacation. Despite that, there were still has some great posts sent out, but now the entire crew is back and ready for the start of the 2013 Northwest League this Friday night.

In honor of Linfield Colleges D-3 Baseball Championship we have a guest post written by a form Wildcat player Reese McCully. Reese not only played for Linfield, he also went on to be signed by the San Francisco Giants and played a year in their farm system.
Also guest writing for us this week is Linfield starting pitcher Chris Haddeland, MVP for both regional and World Series tournaments for Linfield.
Keeping with the theme of College baseball Norm interviewed Tony Kemp, SEC player of the year. Tony batted .400 and helped to lead his team to a 53-9 record.
Also check in for my thoughts on the NW League rosters and what autograph opportunities will stand out for the league this year. I can tell you right now that Doug Drabek, pitching coach for the Hillsboro Hops is on the top of the list, along with Tommy John, special guest at Volcanoes stadium in August.
