At the recent Baseball Northwest Championships I got the chance to talk with Kade Emmons of Sherwood High School. Kade is a catcher whose defensive abilities impressed me. Time after time he gunned down would be runners to the point that when a runner actually made it to second on a wild pitch the opposing team celebrated. A quick release and a strong arm makes me believe that although Kade isn’t committed to a college yet, that by the end of his senior year he will have a destination to continue his baseball career.
