Doing what is best for the team isn’t always easy. Giving up an at bat to sacrifice a runner over, taking pitches so your teammates can see the movement the pitcher has on his fastball, do the little things to help your team win are what coaches preach every practice and game. Players understand the importance but only a few not only understand it but thrive on doing the little things for the team.

Brent Myklebust is one of those few who thrive on the details of the game and doing whatever is asked of him. If there is something that he can do to help his team win then he will do it. He understands that stats are nice but winning is the goal.

Every team needs players like this because games are won and lost in the details.
