When you think of second basemen types you normally think about two types of players. One is a defensive first player who can lay down sacrifice bunts and may get a few timely hits when needed (Darwin Barney). The other is is solid defensive player who is a threat at every at bat (Robinson Cano). As the overall season leader in batting average, third on the team in home runs, and second on the team for runs scored Jake Bakamus is definitely in the mold of an offensive threat every time he comes to bat.
Jake Bakamus is the starting 2nd basemen for the Lower Columbia Red Devils and is committed to play for Arkansas State next school year.
