It has been a few years since I did my interview series Beyond the Game but this interview with Seaver Whalen would have fit great in that series. His focus and understanding of the importance of the mental side of the game of baseball is evident in his actions.
As a fan it is great to see players who strive to develop themselves physically, mentally and spiritually using the game of baseball.
Seaver is an amazing example of a young man brimming with potential in a lot of areas of his life and I am excited to see how he does at his next stop Loyola Marymount.
Seaver is the starting shortstop and lead off hitter for Lower Columbia College in Longview, WA.
