Day 6 Game 1 Quarterfinals Longview, WA (3) vs. Broomall-Newton, PA (12)
I think Longview proved they deserved to be here by advancing out of Pool Play in to the bracket but they were over matched in this game. Broomall scored early and often, 1 in the 1st, 2 in the 3rd and 5 in the 4th. Longview made a game of it for a moment scoring 3 in the top of 5th but Broomall scored 2 in the bottom of the 5th and 2 in the 6th to win the game 12-3 and advance to the semi-finals. They will play Tri-County, TX.

Broomall-Newton: Tony Gallo went 4-5 with a double, 3 runs and a RBI.
Day 6 Game 2 Quarterfinals Kelso, WA (3) vs. Torrance, CA (13)
Kelso was in the same spot as Longview. They advanced out of pool play but were over matched against Torrance. I think Kelso had some chances but had several base running mistakes. Kelso scored in the 4th and added a late run in the 6th. Torrance woke up in the 3rd inning, scoring 4 runs. They added 1 in the 4th, 6 in the 5th and finished off Kelso with one last run in the 6th beating them 13-3. They advanced to the semi-finals and will face Lumber River, NC.
Players of the Game
Kelso: Mycah Mendoza went 0-1 with a run scored and was HBP.
Torrance: Konner Smith went 1-1 with 2 runs and was HBP 3 times.
Crazy stat of the Game: There was 10 batters hit by pitches tonight in this game. I’m not sure if that’s a record of some kind but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was.
