Just about a month ago I was so excited to have reached 30,000 views on my blog, and today I reach another milestone that is exciting for me.  This is the 100th post on this blog.

Baseball has always been a passion of mine and being given the opportunity to share something I love with others through this avenue has been a great experience of mine.  To celebrate the 100th blog post Norm and I have combined our resources and am giving items away to celebrate. (Prizes will be listed at the end of the blog.)

Everyone can enter the contest up to three times (you can only win once though) by following the 9 Inning blog one or all of these three ways:

1.       Follow this blog by email or by your word press account

2.       ‘Like’ the 9 Inning Know It All Facebook page

3.       Follow the blog on twitter @9innknowitall (don’t forget to follow Norm as well @tezbaseball)

If you already follow the blog one or all of these three ways you are already entered into the contest.

What the Future Holds

As a passionate baseball fan and a social media guru I am always looking for new ways to expand the 9 Inning Empire and I am excited to announce the creation of the 9 Inning Know It All blog talk radio show.  This will be a ‘radio’ show that is going to be just like the blog but in surround sound.  Okay maybe not surround sound but it will be 15 to 30 minutes of just fun baseball talk.  The show won’t be every day, in fact it probably won’t be every week but I will be announcing when the shows will occur and it will be open to people calling in live during the show or listening to it as a podcast after the show.

The inspiration for this show is thanks to Jesse Thomas @JTT81 and Jay Valdez @zedlaV559 and their blog talk radio show That Other Sports Show.  If you are an MMA fan these are the guys you need to check out. They really know their stuff.

The 9 Inning Know It All show will deal with a lot of baseball topics from the Northwest like the Mariners, the Northwest League, and college baseball teams like the Oregon Ducks and the Oregon State Beavers, but I also want it to be a chance to talk about baseball across America. If you would like to check out the first episode of the 9 Inning Know It All blog talk radio show you can check it out here, but please remember this was a test run I know there is room for improvement.  http://www.blogtalkradio.com/9inningknowitall

My simple goal is to bring insight and information that is worth listening too. You can subscribe to the 9 Inning Know It All Podcast by clicking on the Itunes button on the page or the RSS button.

Future Blogs

As for the blog future there are more ideas than I can list for what to do this off season and into the 2013 season.  I will tell you this that along with doing my Baseball Trip series I am seriously debating about doing a baseball movie calendar which will help all of us die hard fans know when is the best time to watch different baseball movies.  I’m also toying with the idea of trying out my video camera to create a series on baseball fundamentals with some help from a few players in the area.  That is only an idea but the great thing about this blog is as long as its baseball its worth considering.

Once again thank you to everyone who has made this blog a success and I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have.  Also big thanks to Shawnee for editing all of the blogs, Norm for not only encouraging me but also for producing some of my favorite blog posts on this site and to Mitch the newest of the guest writers who hopefully will write some more great posts like his first one Dodger Blue.
